Mystics best Fever 101-76

Updated: Aug 19, 2020

The 2019 WNBA Champions, the Washington Mystics kicked off their 2020 debut with an impressive win over the Indiana Fever. Dominant play from the likes of Emma Meesseman (14 points), Aerial Powers (16 points), and Myisha Hines-Allen (27 points), led the Mystics to a convincing win.

As the defending WNBA champions, the Washington side showed the depth of their squad by utilizing every player on its roster and showing off the value of their recent acquisitions. Players like Shey Peddy, an off-season pick up contributed 10 points, proving herself in her first game for the Stics.

The Mystics were able to maintain a lead during the majority of the game, maintaining unrelenting pressure and scoring seemingly effortless three pointers. Despite the absences of Elena Delle Donne, Tina Charles, LaToya Sanders, and Natasha Cloud, the squad was able to perform extremely well. With a dream start to their 2020 run, the Mystics effectively silenced the critics who claimed that the absence of the aforementioned players would plague the team's success.

Looking to repeat their success, the Mystics will face the Phoenix Sun on Tuesday, July 28th at 7pm.
