The Nationals lost 3 straight to start the week, 8-11 against the Marlins, 3-8 in game 1, and 2-3 in game 2 of the series against the Phillies. The third game was postponed after the sports world stopped because of the shooting of Jacob Blake. The Nationals won game 1, 10-2, lost game 2, 3-5. And lost game 3, 9-5 against the Red Sox. Trea Turner extended his hitting streak to 15 games, and Yan Gomes extended his to 10 games. Jan Soto and Trea Turner both lead the majors in batting average, at .360. Besides from them, the Nationals look horrible.

In other news, they also signed Brock Holt, a very good utility man. They also optioned Carter Kieboom to the alternate training site in Fredericksburg, Va. and Sean Doolittle has return from the IL. There next game is tomorrow vs. the Phillies, at 7:05 P.M.

The Washington Football Team postponed its practice at FedEXField in wake of the Jacob Blake shooting. The team instead had a very meaningful conversation, which included team president Jason Wright and owner Dan Snyder. They have rescheduled this practice from FedEXField for tomorrow.
